Stockton Riverside College and Investors in People

Investors in People

Stockton Riverside College is committed to the development of its staff in line with the principles of the Investors in People standard, which provides a framework to help organisations improve performance and realise objectives through the effective management and development of their staff.

People are an organisation’s greatest asset and perform better when they are equipped with the right knowledge, skills and motivation to work efficiently. SRC appreciates its staff and values the contribution that every individual makes to the success and continuing improvement of the organisation.

By achieving IiP accreditation, SRC has reinforced its commitment to staff to sustain an outstanding working environment and provide quality training, thereby enhancing skill and career development opportunities.

Development of the college’s mission, aims, objectives and purpose is determined by the governing body in consultation with staff. As an Investment in People organisation, processes are in place to ensure the college’s vision is clearly communicated to every individual to ensure they understand their specific role and the part they play in realising the college’s vision for the future.

SRC is due to undergo IiP reassessment in 2009, following its merger with Bede Sixth Form College, and work is ongoing to ensure the merged college is awarded IiP status.
